Description of route and signposts here are not clear enough. We went the wrong way, going along a path behind some houses until it was impassable (due to overgrown bramble/nettles and green fly tipping) then we had to climb over a fence and get back down to the road! This meant we missed parts of the route in Bream near the stone stile and Cider Barn but we didn’t feel like retracing our steps by then. You’re probably meant to do a sharp right from 52 to 53 but that’s not clear at all. We’re experienced walkers and combined following the route booklet with an OS map on the phone so not totally daft!!
