15 – Quab Cottage Branch,


Further along the track, on the bank to the left, is a house called Quab Cottage. This house was used as a location for parts of the 1986 television series The Singing Detective, starring Michael Gambon and written by Forest born playwright Dennis Potter.

Potter often had scenes for his productions filmed in the Forest and sometimes local “extras” were used.
