The route diversion described below is now over.

A route diversion was in place due to a hornets nest. The nest is no longer a hazard and the diversion is no longer necessary.

Route diversion – September 2025

The route diversion is now over and the signs have been removed,

Turn right. Walk along the Gloucestershire way – i.e. along the track to the road. At the road walk straight on and walk downhill for approximately 200m to the point that the road makes a sharp right uphill turn. Just before the turn, leave the road and take the footpath straight ahead. Continue downhill for about 250m to Post 18.

Turn left and walk up hill on the road. After a few metres, take the Gloucestershire Way up a track to your right. When the footpath reaches a road, walk straight ahead up the road. Post 10 is on a track straight ahead – just after the road makes a 90 degree turn to the left.
