Bluebells on Pastors Hill

On a recent walk, some members of Bream Gardeners and a dog enjoyed the fine early May weather. In the photo, they have stopped to view a display of bluebells on Pastors Hill.

Waymark 10 replaced.

Due to the failure of the post to which it was attached we temporarily removed the waymark discs at point 10 – where the walk crosses the Gloucestershire Way.We have now replaced the post.

New element added to Heritage Feature

With permission from Forestry England a new stone sleeper uncovered by recent timber extraction has been added to the Heritage Feature. Tramway Sleeper The ‘new’ stone sleeper (produced in the early 1800’s!) is in very good condition. It shows something that walkers can expect to encounter on the heritage walk, while the feature itself shows

Felling has taken place in Noxon Park during the Autumn and Winter of 2021. Thinning in some places will allow more light to reach the forest floor and may awaken dormant plants in the Spring. The clear-fell in other places has opened up some views – but a side effect can be seen in wet
